Joe Harris was interviewed after the Nets practice ahead of Game 2 of their series vs the Boston Celtics. Harris talked about the Nets’ slow offensive start in Game 1, having a crowd at Barclays Center, and how to gameplan for Robert Williams.
The Nets got off to a slow start on offense in Game 1. Here is what Harris had to say about that: “Definitely some jitters, just a lot of excitement there… both teams were pretty amped up from the get-go… also for them defensively, they seemed to be in great position… I think your best basketball is when the ball is moving... guys kind of eager, excited.”
Fans were allowed back at Barclays Center in bigger numbers for Game 1. Harris talked about how that affected the Nets and the way they played: “It was definitely a difference… just adjusting to that… the energy even just in warmups was incredible… I know just having that sort of energy in the building for the first time in a while, I think guys were just, an excitement level, an adrenaline level… I think it’s just literally because it was the first time… just overall sort of excitement feeds into a little extra adrenaline… it’s just about settling in.”
Lastly, Harris commented on Celtics center Robert Williams, who tallied nine blocks in Game 1: “He had an unbelievable game… I think he’s shown flashes of that over the course of the season… his ability contesting shots even on the perimeter was surprising… you have to be aware of him.”

- #celtics #NBA #CLNS
The CLNS Media Network is the leading provider for video/audio content.
